two years ago today, blood was shed in a place that was my home.
i walked those halls,
i sat in those classrooms,
and a part of me was lost that morning.
i think of the tragic events of april 16th and my heart still breaks.
blacksburg and virginia tech will never be the same.
in fact, that one, senseless act has changed the world forever.
i pause today to remember.
unbelievable that it’s been 1 year. life chugs by…waiting for no one. it’s good to take pause and remember….

it’s actually been 2 years. and, yes, life keeps right on moving along, even in the face of tragedy.
