indian summer, call me back

autumn has always been my favourite time of year, with it’s cool breezes and vibrant hues of gold and orange and red. it fills me with peace and encourages me to reflect on the year’s journey — looking inward, taking inventory, making adjustments — it’s a pattern that i see repeating in my life, and this year is no different.

the past few months have been some of the best, but they’ve also been riddled with changes — some welcome, some unexpected, all bringing with them a whisper of well-disguised hope (or maybe fear, i’m still not sure which).

and so the ebb and flow continues. there are moments, like today, when i feel at the top of the pendulum’s swing, exhilarated by the view, all the while knowing that it’s just a momentary pause of clarity followed by a rush of change.

but, as they say, change is good.

autumn is my perennial reminder.
